Official Business

We’ve been invited to our first closed networking group! If you don’t know what that is, it’s a group of people who promote each other, and only allow one member of a kind into the group. A friend put it this way: “If you’re a butcher, a baker, or a candlestick maker, you’ll be the only butcher, baker or candlestick maker in the group.” 🙂

We’ll have lunch at a Mexican restaurant (yum) and I’ll get to present our business and hand out cards. Luckily, I made a quick portfolio for the Dalworthington Gardens celebration, so I can bring that with! It’s things like this that make me feel very official.

Today, I fiddled with Gimp (free photo editing software) to create a new image for our Facebook business page:

Facebook is yet another great business networking tool. It’s free, and you’ve probably already got friends to “fan” your business page (and if not, you’ll have some now!)  It’s also yet another way to keep tabs on the other seller friends you’ve made along the way.
